CAMP J GENERAL CAMP

June 11-August 17
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Jam packed with fun for each age group!  Activities include music, creative arts, arts & crafts, pioneering, science, hip hop, theatre, drama, improv, nature, cooking, gymnastics, outdoor sports, indoor sports, youth fit, martial arts, Judaic culture, Water Zone, ZUMBA, archery, Yoga, and other special programs.  All campers enrolled in general camp attend a field trip every Thursday as a part of their experience.

CAMP J SPORTS

June 11-15, June 18-22, July 9-13, July 16-20, July 23-27, & August 6-10
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Coaches will teach and challenge campers through scrimmages and games in a wide variety of sports including basketball, floor hockey, soccer, volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, flag football, wiffleball, archery, gaga, track & field and more.  Each week focuses on a particular sport.  All campers enrolled attend a related field trip every Thursday as a part of their experience.  Every Friday an MVP is chosen and parents are invited to watch the final game at 3 p.m.
6/11-6/15: NBA - Three-point shootout, skills challenge and championship game.  Field trip to stadium.
6/18-6/22: NHL - Shootout, skills challenge and Stanley Cup championship game.  Field trip to RDV for ice skating.
7/9-7/13: MLS - Indoor & outdoor, World Cup shootout, score against coaches and MLS Cup.  Field trip to Citrus Bowl.
7/16-7/20: Summer Olympics - Baton races, relays, archery and awards ceremony.  Field trip to UCF track & field.
7/23-7/27: MLB - Little League, throwing, hitting & catching, home run derby and World Series.  Field trip to batting cages.
8/6-8/10: NFL - Punt, pass, & kick contest, NFL combine and Super Bowl game.  Field trip to Maitland JCC for intramural play.

CLUB SPORTS: GOLF & TENNIS CAMP

July 2-6 (no camp 7/4)
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Includes golf & tennis clinics at the JCC and two trips to a golf course & tennis court for playing time.  Includes other sports throughout the week with the main focus on the club sports. POP SQUAD (CHEER & TUMBLE)

July 30-August 3

J-Hawks Pop Squad is back and ready for new teammates!  Get ready to learn cheers, practice various jumps, stunting & tumbling, and cheer formations.  Each day will be filled with spirit and fun, and the week will end with a performance!

HOOPSTARS BASKETBALL ACADEMY TOURNAMENT CAMP

July 30-August 3
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
This unique camp gives players with basketball game experience the chance to play in a tournament-style atmosphere.  Players sign up as individuals and are placed onto teams.  The teams will have mini-practice sessions before moving into the round robin play.  Following round robin play, the teams move into the tournament brackets, leading to the culmination of the camp — the Championship Game!  T-shirts, trophies and other prizes included.

Specialty Theatre Camps Presented by Theatre South

CAMP WICKED

June 18-22
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Do you dream of Defying Gravity?  Do you wake up every morning humming the tune of “Popular” and “One Short Day”?  Are you an Elphaba or a Glinda?  Find out in Theatre South’s intensive journey into the world of the hit musical “Wicked”.  In just one week we will audition, rehearse, and learn how to become all things “Wicked”.  Taught by musical theater professionals, this camp is sure to be a hit.  All Camp Wicked performers are required to provide a plain black t-shirt by Wednesday, June 20.

BACKSTAGE PASS

July 9-13
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Lights! Camera! Action!  Learn from professionals the art of acting for film and television.  Your camper will learn: acting on-camera technique, auditioning for TV and film, making commercials and voice-overs, theater games and improvisation.  Students will leave camp with professional headshots and resumes.  Guest instructors from Disney, local TV and film, and actors from Blue Man Group!  Everything you need to know to be a star on camera.

BUILD YOUR OWN PRODUCTION

July 23-27
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Here’s an opportunity to build a show from the ground up! In five days, campers will not only direct, but produce and star in their own scene from a musical or play. They will also design costumes, scenery and create makeup for their character. Each day, campers will have a guest artist from Disney, Universal or Blue Man Group to help them with their vision! On Friday, July 27 the campers will present and perform their masterpiece.

CAMP GLEE!

August6-10

Calling all Gleeks!  Don’t Stop Believin’ with this summer’s Glee-tastic CAMP GLEE!  Get ready to sing and show your star power in this fast-paced pop and musical theater performance camp.  If you love the songs from the TV show, then you’ll love this camp.  Taught by professional Music Theater Gleeformers.

Travel Camps

J EXPLORERS

Is your child always on the go?  Do they love to explore new places and see new things?  Do you want your child to get the most out of living in the Theme Park Capital?  This camp is for them!  Each day, the group is off on an adventure to a new place!  They will have a great time touring Orlando hot spots with old and new friends.  Our staff to child ratio is 1:7 and parent chaperones are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis!

Third graders visit Camp Nah-Jee-Wah.  NJY Camps provides a perfect environment for a first-time sleep away camping experience and will enhance your child’s summer with sports, arts, high ropes, aquatics, sciences, and just plain FUN!  From the airport and back, the JCC maintains constant communication with parents ensuring your child is safe and having a blast on their first big trip away. Campers will stay in modern accommodations with private bathrooms, hot and cold running water and showers.  Check out NJY at njycamps.org.  Includes airline travel (Newark, NJ Airport), bus transportation from airport to camp and back, overnight stay, food and ALL ACTIVITIES!
