TOGETHER TIME

These classes are designed to give parents/caretakers a chance to spend meaningful time with their child while bonding and learning together.

Step Up to Preschool  
Facilitators: Karen Duncan/Melanie Campbell
Is your toddler almost ready for school, but you’re not quite ready to let go just yet?  This class will give you the best of both worlds! The class is structured like a preschool class.  During the first three weeks, parent/caregiver and child attend together.  Next, parents stay on the sidelines.  For the last three weeks, the children attend by themselves.

Ooh, Goo, and You!(10834)

In this innovative toddler science class, you and your child will have a blast learning very basic science concepts while setting up age-appropriate science experiments and discovering how the world works through fun, multi-sensory activities.

Shake, Rattle, and Roll(10835)      
Facilitator: Karen Duncan
Using props such as the parachute, bean bags, and scarves, parent/caregiver and child will learn age-appropriate, skill-oriented progressions that provide a positive movement experience. Children will develop fine and gross motor skills, body awareness, strength and flexibility while having fun through creative music and fitness activities.

Lullaby Land(10859)

In this infant class you and your child will participate in rhymes, finger plays, sign language, songs, and stories.  Play with your little one as you bond and promote language and cognitive development.

1st Impressionists(10850)
Facilitator: Karen Duncan
In this class you and your child will learn how to create simple, but beautiful works of art.  The children will be engaged in the process of experimenting with different art mediums, while you learn tips and techniques on how to create, frame, and display these and future child-created art works.

POWER HOUR
These classes are designed to empower the children by engaging them in activities that promote cooperation, original thought, creativity and life skills.

Lights, Camera, Puppets!(10861)  
Facilitator: Susanna Orensky
If your child loves to pretend, then this is the class to take!  Each week the children will participate in activities that inspire imagination.  They will make puppets of their very own and then use them as they perform on stage.

Guitar Star(10864)    
Facilitators: Ron and Matt Duncan
In this ONE-OF-A-KIND class the children will be introduced to guitar, rhythm, singing, and music theory in a group setting, which will give your child the makings of a musician. This simple approach will improve your child’s fine motor skills while improving their social interaction, confidence and stage presence.  GUITARS ARE PROVIDED FOR EACH CLASS.

Earthly Treasures(10862)      
Facilitator: Karen Duncan
In this class the children will become treasure hunters! Whether cracking open a geode filled with quartz crystals or uncovering dinosaur fossils, the children will have the thrill of discovering and collecting surprising treasures found in nature.  They will also get to create their own treasure box to store their loot! 

Rock Star Academy Band Camp(10860)
Facilitators: Ron & Matt Duncan
This class will provide a full musical experience in a rock band setting, allowing the children to play various instruments (guitar,drums, bass guitar, keyboards, dulcimer, etc.).  The children will build confidence as they share music as a group and at the same time practice social skills.
