29th Annual Beat the Heat 5k Road Race

The Details

5k Walk & Run
Course starts and ends at the JCC located at 851 N. Maitland Avenue. The course is flat and passes along Lake Sybelia.

FREE kid race for 6 & under at 8:30 p.m.

FREE pool party with music after the race with FREE pizza and soda or beer (21+) for all registered participants. Participants can purchase additional pizza dinners for a nominal fee.

Packet Pickup

Be sure to pick up your race packet before the race from the JCC! Packets are available for pick up from July 9-19, 2012.

Saturday & Sunday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Day of the Race: 8 a.m.-6:45 p.m.

Top Male & Female Overall
Top Male & Female Masters
Top 3 Male & Female Masters in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.

Featuring ChronoTrack Timing System

The race will be scored by Track Shack using ChronoTrack. When you pick up your race packet, the ChronoTrack tag will be attached to the race number. Do not remove until just before the race. Instructions will be included with your race packet on how to attach the tag to your shoe. The ChronoTrack timing tag is disposable and will not be collected at the finish line.
