Maitland Group Exercise Classes
Group exercise classes are FREE to all JCC members unless noted and no registration is required. A minimum of 8 participants on average is needed to continue a class on a regular basis. Non-members can take advantage of our group exercise classes for $10/hour-long class or $5/half-hour-long class. Babysitting is available in our Kid Zone

Classes are free to all JCC members and no registration is required. All levels are welcomed to every class.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions

CoreDynamics – This class will include it all. Muscle toning, increase muscular stamina, core strength, compound movements, and cardio. See what your mind and body can do together.

Instructor’s Choice - Mix it up in this action packed class where the instructor will present a variety of cardiovascular and resistant exercises utilizing equipment such as bands, balls, and free weights. Rinse and repeat for a total body conditioning class like no other. All levels welcome.

Lunch Crunch - Take 45 minutes of your lunch break to join this strength and endurance class focusing on different parts of the body using equipment such as bands, balls, free weights and adjustable platforms.

Mat Pilates - A class utilizing the principles and movements of Pilates. This class is a total mind and body workout with an emphasis on building strong abdominals and lower back to enhance strength, muscular symmetry, alignment, and flexibility. Beginners to Pilates welcome.

The Perfect Fit Bootcamp - This total conditioning class will enhance abdominal definition, balance, core strength and stability, and functional training. Push yourself to new heights in this challenging class all designed to help you reach your maximum fitness goals. All levels welcome!

Yoga - A yoga class which introduces yoga positions, breathing, and language used in many yoga disciplines.

Zumba – A fusion of international moves, this aerobic workout is set to Latin music. Taught in a fun and party like atmosphere, you will travel around the world with moves such as meringue, cumbia, tango, belly dancing, and more! All levels are welcome and no dance experience is required.

Silver Sneakers®  - Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Silver Sneakers ® Cardio Circuit - Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.

Power Yoga – A vigorous fitness based approach to Vinyasa-style and modeled off of Ashtanga style yoga. This class is for people that are fit and enjoy exercising, and want a minimal amount of chanting and meditation with their yoga.

Cardio Box – Combination of kickboxing, dance, and toning. It is adjustable to all levels and offers a complete workout.

Step – Is for anyone who wants an energetic, exciting step workout. It is great for cross training or just adding variety to your workout.
