What is Pilates?
Pilates is a fitness philosophy that uses a unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises that tone the muscles and improve posture and flexibility.
At the JCC, you have the opportunity to train on state-of-the-art
equipment with trained instructors at a lower cost than traditional
Pilates studios in Maitland. Plus, we’ve got plenty of options to fit your needs
and schedule, including individual, semi-private, and group lessons. Babysitting available at our Kid Zone.
The
Pilates Method is a series of controlled movements that will engage
your mind and body, performed on specifically designed exercise
apparatus.
With an emphasis on breathing, core,
conditioning, and body awareness, Pilates exercise is a safe and highly
effective way to stretch, strengthen, and streamline your body without
building bulk or stressing your joints.
Performed on a mat or on specialized equipment, Pilates will leave you
looking toned, feeling revitalized, and moving with ease.
